Shelley Nguyen

Shelley is a graduate from the University of Mary Washington, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs with a minor in French. She also studied abroad at Université Paris Nanterre, where she studied human rights law, international law, and French.

Outside of academics, she has a goal of achieving fluency in five languages. She views language as a vital tool for helping people and bridging communication gaps. Her ambition is to leverage her translation skills within the legal field to contribute to closing the legal education gap and advocating for underrepresented communities.  

At HRRC, she is eager to apply her skills to translate complex human rights violations from around the world through research.
