HRRC's Response:
On July 14th, Russia refused to accept the European Court of Human Rights's order to recognize same-sex unions, saying that such unions are violate the country's constitution.
Vasily Piskarev, Russia's MP who leads a parliamentary commission on foreign interference, claims that the EUHR seeks to "meddle in Russia's internal affairs".
HRRC stands with the LGBTQ+ community in Russia and around the world, recognizing their human right to marry who they wish.
