HRRC strongly condemns the ongoing genocide in Gaza and calls for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian response to protect civilians.

News Brief

The severe impact of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, where 10 percent of the population has been killed, wounded, or reported missing due to bombings, deepens the humanitarian crisis in the region. Since October 7, 2023 over 50,000 Palestinians have been killed and 100,000 injured, per the latest counts by Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor in a report released for the anniversary of the start of the genocide.

The ongoing siege, with hospitals overwhelmed and essential infrastructure destroyed, caused a major disproportionate impact on civilians, raising concerns about violations of international law. The situation underscores the urgency for a ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza.
