Research Analyst

Claire is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and French. Through her work in tech consulting, she had the opportunity to help design a platform for social workers in Tampa, Florida to mitigate the risk of children entering foster care. As a volunteer with social services, she has helped facilitate access to education, workforce development, and food and clothing assistance for local low-income immigrants and refugees. Teaching ESL and growing up bilingual in French has also instilled in her a passion for education policy, research, and evaluation.

Fueled by a love of learning and desire to foster more equitable, inclusive, and connected communities, Claire aims to use social science research and user experience research for social impact. She’s very interested in initiatives leveraging educational technology to help immigrants and refugees learn English and adapt to their new home. For HRRC, she’s currently exploring the intersection of language rights and human rights.
