Cherry Wu holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, specializing in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from McGill University. With over four years of experience as an AI policy analyst and researcher, she has contributed to projects at think tanks, national labs, and consultancies. As a Research Analyst at the Human Rights Research Center, Cherry is passionate about exploring the intersection of AI and human rights, particularly in addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and other ethical challenges in emerging technologies. She is fluent in English and Mandarin, with intermediate proficiency in French.
