Blene earned a Master’s degree in International Relations with a focus on Conflict
Resolution from Northeastern University where she became a recipient of the Diplomacy Lab
badge by contributing to U.S. foreign policy formulation in analyzing G77 voting patterns and
their impact on U.S. interests. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a
Diplomacy emphasis and minors in Anthropology and Political Science from Minnesota State
University Moorhead, graduating as a Pi Sigma Alpha honor member.


Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to addressing systemic challenges. As a
Case Manager for an NGO, Blene collaborated with government stakeholders, families, and care
providers to support the well-being of children affected by displacement, employing Trust-Based
Relational Intervention (TBRI) to foster stability and hope. Additionally, as an Event
Coordinator for a youth-led NGO, she designed leadership workshops and partnered with youth-
led organizations to create pathways for young people to acquire essential skills for meaningful
employment. These transformative roles have strengthened her dedication to driving
collaborative and innovative solutions to complex global issues.


Blene aspires to work at the intersection of diplomacy and development, advancing equity and
fostering sustainable growth on a global scale.
