Amaya Novas-Peña

Amaya is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. During her studies, Amaya focused on the intersection of law and international politics, examining the role of international legal institutions in shaping state behaviour.
Amaya is passionate about topics in law, foreign policy, security, and peacebuilding, particularly as these fields evolve to confront the challenges of an increasingly digitised global landscape. In her role as a Legal Research Analyst for the HRRC, she explores issues in global governance, public international law, and international humanitarian law.
